by BRENNA WILLIS - May 17, 2021 - Students in the Baking and Pastry class make biscuits in the new culinary kitchen.
Sprinkling some cheese, Genevieve Hollaert (11) tops her biscuits with parmesan.
After the biscuit dough has been made, it is scooped onto a lined baking sheet.
Using a rubber spatula, Mason Ewing (12) and Tamera Cotton (11) scrape out the dough onto a floured surface.
Gathered around the table, Peighton Isley (12), Cate Jensen (12), and Elle Herzog (12) roll out their dough.
After transferring the dough onto the table, Joseline Cruz Medina (11) kneads it until it reaches the perfect consistency.
Using a knife, Tamera Cotton (11) slices the butter into squares.
After going over the instructions as a class, Silas Daugherty (12) and Macy Howe (12) start to measure out the ingredients.
After adding all the ingredients, Cate Jensen (12) whisks the mixture together.
Using a liquid measuring cup, Jordyn Church (10) pours buttermilk into her biscuit mixture.
